EBTIC scientist appointed visiting professor at Milan University

RasoolProfessor Rasool Asal, head of our cloud security solution and research, has been appointed as the Industrial Visiting Professorship at Milan University in Italy.

Rasool has worked closely with Milan University over the past five years in close collaboration with Professor Claudio Ardana, Director of SESAR Lab, on a joint Cloud Security research program.

As part of this role he was invited by the University to give a number of seminars to their faculty and their PhD students, to share his experiences of industrial research around the Cloud, IoT Security, SDN, NfV as well as innovation.

Professor Goffredo Haus, director of the computer science department, said: The University is always delighted to acknowledge the specialist expertise of our industrial collaborators. We are particularly pleased to welcome Rasool, who will continue to engage with the SESAR lab.  His industrial research insight will add value to our faculty and PhD students’ experience. This new role will hopefully allow us to forge even closer links and open new opportunities to work with EBTIC and BT in the future.”
